Highlights of our  Collective Agreement

• 5 ½ hour  instructional day
• Guaranteed preparation time
• Employer cost-shared health benefits
• Maternity/Adoptive/Parental Leave top-up
• 2 personal leave days (one can be carried over to the next school year
    to a maximum of three per year)
• Up to 125 days of accumulated sick leave
• SOTA/BOARD jointly administered PD Fund
• Process to protect teachers in case of complaint
• Participation in extra-curricular activities is voluntary
* For every 25 hours of approved extra-curricular activities, 1/2 day leave to a maximum of
   two half days per year 
• We have a duty-free meal period
• We have an advance notice retirement/resignation gratuity
